Coastal Geology Section

The Coastal Geology Section was formally a part of the Coastal and Energy Division in the Office of Geology within the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality. It has since become the Geospatial Resources Division.

Mississippi Office of Geology - Coastal Geology Section

As an active player in monitoring and assessing the coastal habitats in Mississippi, the Coastal Geology Section has collected a diverse suite of coastal related data.  Our local approach was driven by the specific needs of Coastal Mississippians.  To meet these needs we are happy to provide information for projects, issues, and regulatory matters in Coastal Mississippi.  A wide variety of information is available through our Coastal Data, Publications, and Coastal Links.  For more information on the projects and responsibilities of the Coastal Geology Section please see our Program Overview.
