Geographic Information System (GIS) data is provided in
MSTM projection. This data is fully compatible with most GIS systems
and includes fully compliant Metadata, or data about the data.
Layer Types
Shorelines - both recent and historic
shoreline positions for the Mississippi coast
Historic Maps - accurate geo-rectified historic maps
of the Mississippi coast
HGM - data layers specific for
Hydro-Geomorphic Method (HGM) wetland
assessments in MS and AL.
Informational Maps - data specific maps, such as Tideland,
Environmental Sensitivity Index, Land use/Land cover, geology, and other content
specific maps.
