The updated shoreline is a large scale data layer and is available for the entire coast.  The Updated shoreline consists of the most recent data available (from 1992 to 2002).  The shoreline depicts the HWL (high water line) so it is useful for approximating the MHWL (mean high water line) but should not be used for legal documentation. Metadata is available

Additionally a shoreline change layer is available for the mainland coast of Mississippi.  It was created using the GPS shorelines collected and available from the Coastal Section.  Shoreline change was calculated by measuring the offset between multiple years and determining a yearly change rate.  These rates are the most recent shoreline change rates and represent change within the past 5-15 years depending on location. Metadata is available
